IS UBC GATHERING AT OUR CAMPUS THIS SUNDAY?
June 7th-December 27th we will have two Sunday Worship Services in the Worship Center. One at 9:15am and the second at 10:45am which will be broadcast on the internet and radio. With both services we will try to keep our numbers under 100. Taking all things into consideration concerning our congregation as a whole. We will practice social distancing and attempt to spread out those smaller numbers through out the Worship Center. We will not discourage you if you decide to wear a mask and/or gloves, but we are not making it a requirement to attend either services. We will be sanitizing surfaces between services and encourage people not to congregate in the building. Hand sanitizer will be available and thermometers will be administered at each entry door at both the east and west lobbies.
July 19th-December 27th Kids Own Worship will be provided during our 10:45am Service. Starting August 23rd. Nursery will be provided during our both the 9:15am and the 10:45am Service . Children's Sunday School Classes will resume at 9:15am Sunday, August 23rd. Club 185 will kickoff the new school year Wednesday, August 26th at 5:45pm. IS THE BUILDING OPEN ON WEEKDAYS?
Yes, the office will remain open during our regular scheduled times (Monday- Thursday 8am-Noon). In light of the multiple people who normally meet at different times in our buildings all throughout the week, we believe the wisest way to love them all is to limit their exposure to this virus by closing our building for certain special events. For more information on individual ministries and/or meetings, please contact your ministry leader.
WHAT ABOUT SCHEDULED MINISTRY EVENTS?
Unfortunately, all ministry events (VBS, Praise Team Practice, Sunday Night Fellowship, etc.) are temporarily suspended at the UBC physical location. We will continue to offer our weekend experience and select ministry applications online. We believe this is a temporary shift in how ministry happens through our church and hope to resume regularly scheduled events in the coming months. Youth Group will resume in June. Women's Bible Study, Kids Own Worship, and Nursery will resume in July. Club 185 and Children's Sunday School will resume in August. Teen Sunday School will resume in October and Adult Bible Study will resume in November. Please check the reboot plan for times and dates.
HOW SHOULD I RESPOND SPIRITUALLY TO THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)?
The coronavirus (COVID-19) is yet one more reminder that we live in a fallen world of sickness, sin, suffering, and death. Ultimately, none of us are immune to any of these things. But that’s why the gospel is such good news. God has not left us alone in this world of sickness, sin, suffering, and death. He has come to us in the person of Jesus. The greatest news in all the world is that Jesus lived a life with no sin, died on a cross to pay the price for our sin, and rose from the grave in victory over sin and death. Now anyone anywhere who turns from their sin and trusts in Jesus will be forgiven of all their sin and restored to relationship with God forever. That means that through Jesus, we never have to fear sickness or death because we know we have eternal life with God.
If you do not know that you have eternal life with God, we urge you to put your faith in Jesus. And if you do know that you have eternal life with God, we urge you to share your faith in Jesus with others. Times like these remind us all of the fragility of life and the inevitability of death. So let’s spread the greatest news that death has been defeated and eternal life is available to all who trust in Jesus.
